    Even when work has ended, the mind can stay in active mode without a clear signal. Create a simple evening cue that tells your body the day is complete. It might be changing clothes, dimming the lights, washing the dishes slowly, or stepping outside for a few cool breaths. Choose one action you can repeat consistently, even when your schedule changes. The ritual does not need to be lengthy or beautiful; it needs to be recognizable. After the signal, give yourself permission to postpone unfinished tasks until tomorrow. Write them down if they keep returning to mind, then let the list hold them for you. A gentle ending reduces the chance of carrying the day into sleep. Notice which cue creates the strongest sense of closure, and let it become a quiet boundary between effort and rest.
